Yes, but drupal theming is significantly tougher than WP theming.

Most serious Drupal sites commission their own theme anyway, including all your examples. Here are some pretty Drupal sites we've worked on:

Why the heck did they change 43folders? I hadn't been there in a while, but I always thought that theme was great.
